Unit plugs directly into wall outlet so there is no AC adapter to ever misplace. There is also a diagnostic port on the unit and if you plug in either the regular input cable or the subwoofer cable you will here a rising and falling tone for testing purposes. This system is a bit higher quality than most others in this class- if you computer has a dedicated subwoofer output (usually a black jack) then you can plug in separately. There are pushbutton volume controls on one of the satellites, and green power LEDS. All controls working correctly- there are dials on sub amplifier unit for Bass, Trebel, and Surround. Excellent sound quality, deep bass, no issues.
